Handling of separator characters and such is inconsistent.

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Handling of separator characters and such is inconsistent.

Hi!

When I rename a file/folder (shift+f6) pressing ctrl+shift+left/right and ctrl+left/right doesn't treat period as a separator, in most other instance I could think of to try (add to archive, f5/shift+f5 copy) period was treated as a separator, as expected.
New folder (Shift+f7) is also affected by this.

For some reason ctrl+backspace doesn't work at all.
New folder (Shift+f7) is also wrong with this too, but it in a different way. I get those horrible rectangles when I press it.

CTRL+del always deletes everything after the cursor. Why not just until the next separator? It would be logical. Shouldn't this function be tied to ctrl+shift+del?
