Create Shortcut Links to files?

Post by *JimmyTheBroker »

Hi guys,

Hi guys,

Im wondering if there is anyway to create or manage shortcuts in directories using Total Commander?

Eg below are some of the folder structures I have:

r:\Projects\WMR\02 Project Execution\A\02 - Meetings\
r:\Projects\WMR\02 Project Execution\20170015\02 - Contract Admin\02 - Weekly Reports\
r:\Projects\WMR\02 Project Execution\20170016\02 - Contract Admin\02 - Weekly Reports\
r:\Projects\WMR\02 Project Execution\20170017\02 - Contract Admin\02 - Weekly Reports\

Ideally I would like to have 3 shortcuts in the following folder that lead to 20170015, 20170016, 20170017:
r:\Projects\WMR\02 Project Execution\A\02 - Meetings\Meetings20170015.ink
r:\Projects\WMR\02 Project Execution\A\02 - Meetings\Meetings20170016.ink
r:\Projects\WMR\02 Project Execution\A\02 - Meetings\Meetings20170017.ink

Any ideas?
I finally get notifications from emails again!!!
So happy!

You can create shortcuts with Ctrl+Shift+F5 when the cursor is on a file or directory. You can also mark multiple objects to create multiple shorts at once.

Thanks,

Is there a way to change all the links of shortcuts, similar to the Multi-Rename Tool's "Load names from File"?

Well, maybe. The Shortcut plugin can be used in the Change attributes dialog to write attributes of .lnk files. But I don't know what input you'd use for multiple files.
