I sometimes have several jpegs with several fullstops in the file name and I want to replace them with a space.
For example, I want to go from cat.and.mouse.JPG to cat and mouse.JPG
If I use the Mutli-Rename Tool to substitute all fullstops for spaces then I have to go back and run the tool again to restore the fullstop before the file extension JPG.
Is there a way to do this in a single pass of the Multi-Rename Tool?
Replace fullstop in filename but keep fullstop before extn

Uncheck [E] in the MRT's Search and Replace section.

Save your settings as a profile with F2 (or the drop-down on the right-hand side). If you want to start MRT with your settings, create a button or start menu item with the command MULTIRENAME <your_saved_profile>. If you want to completely replace TC's default MRT settings with yours, create a new user command em_something with the command above and create a new hotkey linked to this command in Options > Misc.
