TCMD Installer is fine, but why you won't release msi?

Post by *jdvorsky »

Hi,

just now I'm building custom tcmd installer it's work great, but why you won't release msi (or appx version)? I believe that when you are developing app for Windows, you should be respecting MS guidance and for all the best - use standard method and tools. Then it will be easier for you and for users. I'm using Advanced Installer for building install packages, so I can recommend it. Then we will be able to install it by standard way by using same simple arguments and there will be no need to follow some custom build manual. So please, be innovative and try it. Since tcmd is such great tool this is surely right way how you can make it even greater!

Thank you,

Jan

I couldn't find any msi based installer which would offer the same features as my own custom installer. Especially the multi-language support is difficult to find. There is an InstallShield Enterprise version which supports multiple languages, but it costs several 1000 dollars.
