Empty Menu Item random space

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Which editor do you use to edit the menu files? Are there any special characters in the menu file? I remember that a Chinese translater sent some translations for one of my plugins and there were a lot of (useless) null bytes at the end of the file. Maybe that's also the case here? To check whether or not this is true, get Notepad++ and enable the option View > Show Symbol > Show All Characters.

Have you tried to add some space after the Chinese characters, instead of adding empty POPUP entries?

2Dalai

My editor can delete the null charater at the end of line when save.
I even replace them with regex.

I try and it work good, but the wide white space look not so nice, isn't it?
