Quick way to create Shortcut link files ".lnk"

Post by *JimmyTheBroker »

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a button or hotkey that'll allow me to create a shortcut ".lnk" file of whatever is selected in the currently active panel (the source panel?), over in the non-active panel (the target panel?) with the same name and icon as the source panel.

I am also wondering if there is a way for TC to get the information of where a shortcut is sending the user to (in case file directories are moved), and a way to change many of these all at the same time (similar to Ctrl+M, the multi rename tool, but with the path directories)
I finally get notifications from emails again!!!
So happy!

You can create links with Ctrl+Shift+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+Drag&Drop.

LinkInfo allows you to view and edit link files.

Code: Select all

TOTALCMD#BAR#DATA
cm_CreateShortcut

Create Shortcut

0
Copy the code, and paste it to the button bar, to make a 'Create Shortcut' button.

I'm trying the Linkinfo, but I cant seem to get it to edit the links. and honestly, is seems to be as slow as right-click>properties

I'm looking for a way to get the Target information from many links all at once, and to be able to change the target or many, all at once.

Thanks

Perhaps ShortcutsSearchAndReplace1.6.15_64 would be useful.
