Root dirs empty with 9.20

Post by *Starf0x »

Hi,

After the update to 9.20 my root dirs aren't showing, any subdirs are fine, but the root dirs of any disk doesn't show.
Could this be an parameter in the INI file?

Cheers, Starf0x

You may also have set OldStyleDir=1 in wincmd.ini. If yes, remove it and restart Total Commander. You can edit the wincmd.ini via menu Configuration - Change settings files directly.

If I understood your question or issue correctly, the parameter is set in Options, Display, Show parent dir [..] also in root of drive.
Cheers
This solution doesn't make sense, why would this produce my root dirs, it's cosmetic? But thanks for the help anyway.
Just to be sure I tested it, but alas.

This worked for me, thank you.

From option description:
OldStyleDir=0
Use SetCurDir to verify existence of dir / Use FindFirstFile directly
Which function TC uses in old style and which one by default? I believe that modern way is to use FindFirsrFile, but in such case first case describes value 1 and second one is for value 0, which is confusing... It would be better to show values near the texts.
