Lately I've been facing a new problem with TotalCommander
After zipping files using the Files-Pack menu I can't email them using my email client because I get the message:
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process
The another process is TotalCommander
Is this a problem of TotalCommander?
Access denied to files

Hello !
¤ When the files are already packed, they aren't "used" by TC ! They are a single archive, available for any use.
¤ Please, tell us what mailer you are using.
* I don't think it be a problem of TC.
* In example, with Eudora™ you can attach the ZIP to an email from Eudora™ directly. The same with the most mailers softs…
Kind regards,

¤ I can send ZIPs with Eudora™ even when TC is open still !
* The files are used by TC only while you pack them; after, the packing is made, it's an archive; TC is a file manager, it shows only the location and the features of this archive, it does NOT use it at all !
* You might try another mailer, Outlook is buggy and has as so many holes in it as a sieve… :P

I discovered that this only happens when using the "Send To - Mail recipient using Outlook" option of the System context menu for the zip file. The file becomes as opened by TotalCommander and is unavailable to Outlook.
If instead I use a simple drag and drop to a new mail message window there is no problem.
