It works via right click menu or Shift+F10 most of the time. If not, define a custom verb via Files - Internal associations. Leave the "open" field empty. TC will call the given command for each of the selected files.

The right button selects or deselects a single file. Nothing more.
Shift + F10 opens the menu, but it lacks several other basic options, for example: Open Folder(s)

I do not know how to associate with:
Correction: No files, but folders

The context menu displays when you press right click button for a second at least. You can change this operation in TC configuration. RTFM, please.

"Open" works also for folders, by default opens them as Explorer windows.
If you want to open folders in a specific program, it should support such actions. You should configure that program to add needed actions to the context menu.

I'm afraid you don't understand what "context" means.

1. Use Shift+F10 or right click the selection to get proper context menu. DO NOT right click other elements or free space.
2. There can be different options in menu depending on context, that is - on type of selected elements. Default action is always displayed in bold at the very top of the context menu. F.e. for pictures it may be "View" option, if you don't installed any picture editor.
3. There may be no "Open" option also if you select more than one type of file. In such cases there may be displayed context menu for the first element in the selection.

@Usher - That's what I did and I got moment ago the BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH!!!
More dangerous than the Blue Screen of Death
This causes a serious system failure and the possibility of losing unsaved data or other system errors.

I'm sorry, I don't understand you. What exactly did you do? Why do you think it's anything related with TC?
TC just displays standard context menu so if anything goes wrong it's because of your actions.

Usher - https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=52116

Unfortunately, some activities in TC can lead to this, for example an unacceptable number of open folders. In my case, about 20 folders and a ready failure :)

In Windows Explorer, I can open so many folders that before any failure occurs due to the lack of RAM memory and virtual memory, it will probably be a miracle.
Also, there are no delays in TC, too many attempts to invoke many windows, a terrible overload of the System.

It's NOT a problem with TC, it's Windows Explorer. You can turn off TC and do it in Windows Explorer. It just depends on content of selected folders and free resources. With TC heavily used it may occurs earlier.

Indeed they are opened externally in Explorer, TC has no influence on that.

1. So why do use more RAM memory when you open multiple folders in TC explorer.exe until memory usage and system failure occur too much?

2. So, if I select a lot of developers in Windows Explorer - I do not experience a System failure (uses less RAM?)

If I try to select many foders in Total Coammnder and choose open - it means that there will be no control over it and my computer will always crash. Yes or no.

If so - I still prefer to use Windows Explorer, without using Total Coammnder, because I do not intend to experience subsequent failures.

Summary:

Opening multiple folders in Windows Explorer (more secure and possible).

Opening many fodlers directly through Total CVaommander - dangerous, and not possible. There is a risk of failure - every time I'm even trying to do this for tests.

Total Comannder NOT SUPPORT MULTIPLE OPEN MANY FOLDERS!
Or use a lot of RAM 32-64 GB. And 32GB Virtual Memory + And configure the Win32k stack setting of the desktop

Windows Explorer SUPPORT 8-12 GB RAM

TC does not use more RAM. It just opens the files/folders as instructed. Since Explorer doesn't have a tabbed interface, it opens all of them in separate windows.

I select 100 folders
CTRL + F10
the menu is shown, I click Open.
For a few or more seconds the TC tries to open the folders, but the strange reaction begins to hang,
I get information for a moment that the computer consumes too much RAM and will crash and gets a black screen.

Please, prove that you can open many foders at the same time (example 100) with just one click. Just do not choose very small folders especially.
Will you take the challenge?

You can't, it's a limitation of the Explorer.
