Glad that it works now :).

Thanks for the files.

JFTR: I can now confirm that the Oracle Outside In Viewers (8.5.4) require VC++ 2013 runtime files. So anyone wanting to use uLister, please install them to save yourself some hassle.

Do you also find that when viewing an xls file where gridlines are turned off, that the viewer displays them anyway?

And that extra borders (I'm guessing page breaks) appear as well?

You can set a couple of options when a document is opened in uLister by right-clicking in the window. This includes grid lines.

Due hardware problems, I could not join this discussion earlier, but I can confirm all conclusions: uLister works on Windows XP and require Visual C++ 2013.
Also note that version 3.0 of uLister can acts as a packer plugin which allows to mass convert files with packer interface.

Just a problem with TotalCommander in a USB pen (portable):
if the base computer hasn´t any Visual C++ 2013 installed, uLister didn´t work!
Any idea how to "portablize" the Visual C++ 2013?

Page one of this thread, Post 2, Step 3

(or at least you need the VC++ DLLs (msvcr120.dll; msvcp120.dll) inside the uLister plugin folder?)

It is mostly just enough to have the DLL in search path (but that is depending on the program who needs that DLL and how it is build)
So just install VC++2013 onec and copy the DLLs. Report back if that works for you.

There are 32- and 64-bit libs, so they should be copied to redist32 and redist64 subdirs respectively.

Started having troubles with Ulister several months ago.

I have 64-bit computer with the latest Windows 10 version, 64-bit TC installed and 64-bit Ulister plugin in it with the latest (8.5.4.) 64-bit Oracle "rdist" directory inside (downloaded from Oracle website, as per instructions in the Ulister Readme file).

At some point every time I pressed Ctrl+Q or F3 (and subsequentially the Ulister plugin was called by the TC, and the Ulister passed the command to "rdist" dll files), the whole TC just crashed and closed.

What I did to solve this problem is to start using 32-bit TC with 32-bit Ulister plugin and 32-bit Oracle "rdist" directory.
So now everything works properly.

However, it means that at the moment 64-bit Ulister passes its command to 64-bit Oracle dll files, something gets wrong...

There is no such general problem with the x64 ULister plugin and its Oracle files.
I use them daily with no crashes or other problems.
What type of files do you try viewing ?
Windows 11 Home x64 Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3374)
TC 11.03 x64 / x86
Everything 1.5.0.1371a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.3.2, Listary Pro 6.3.0.69

How did you get "rdist" name? Did you read my previous message?

Did you read other messages with advice to install proper VC redist packages?
There may be problems because you seem to have messed something…

Important: This does not work with the default uLister plugin! It only works with the one recompiled by milo1012 which can be found in this post.

You are right, we can only guess which plugin is installed in this case…

Maybe another plugin is interfering with ulister? Try removing all other Lister plugins temporarily.
