Free Download Manager as plugin

Post by *Sheepdog »

The user blacky made a proposal in the german forum and asked to translate it for the english forum:

Hy
lately i noticed a freeware prg which is a free of charge Downloadmanager what you can surely very good integrate into TC and it's called Free Download Manager and begins to make fun because for instance Zero3K begins to start with a plugin-system similar to the one of Total Commander. My reflections are going further if one would built in a plugin option into the FTP option and then could write plugins for e.g. for the FDM ora TC-FS Plugin where you could put in whole FTP's which would handed over to FDM were just a cool thing I think of ISOs and other big files sure in the FTP-protocolof TC there is a resume function, too, but this is in FDM much better managed and you could export it and manage it mor professional with a 'real' interface where you can do everything... just wnated to mention it.

Free Download Manager

kind regards

blacky

ps.s there were still principle discussions about FDM anbd freeware because it seems that there was searched another name and you can find diverse words in the lang-file but FDM will stay freeware  Further my english is not as good to announce it to the english forum the meaning of it, I would be grateful if somone who knows as much english would post it to the english forum  thanks

I tried to get the writing style of blacky, hope you would understand as much as I do in the german posting. If there is a question I can translate and post it to the german forum if desired.

:) Hi Stefan !
¤ Thank you for the translation, it's an interesting subject ! I've already a freeware download manager, but it doesn't work from TC, and even isn't called always for a download from IE (sometimes, I get the fancy MS box …).
* Maybe that could work like the external pic-viewers for Lister ? I mean eveyone could use his (her) D.M. as a partner-program or so?

:P Just to improve a bit the blacky's style : ;;;; ,,,, ...   My old damaged lungs don't follow…
