Recursive searching

Post by *CWBillow »

Why if I am searching for a file in the "Users" folders, does TC create recursive searching and creating folder strings that do not in fact exist? I was going to attach a graphic example but could not readily figure out how to do that.

If you refering to AppData\AppData\... then this is normal behavior. This path exists because the junction/symlink AppData points to itself. TC skips such recursions when they're properly detected; this is not always the case, especially when the NTFS permissions have been messed up.

PS: Attaching files to a forum post is not possible. Upload the screenshot to a site of your choosing and link to it here.

Try adding these junctions to ignore list, and TC will skip them during search.
