Rightclick on the drive combobox on a specific drive freezes TC
When i rightclick on the drive combobox on a specific drive (a VeraCrypt encrypted drive), TC freezes. The same action from explorer works fine. Any suggestions on what should i check for possible problems?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Hi Roman,
Yes, i guessed that but usually when this happens, it affects both TC and explorer, right?

Re: Rightclick on the drive combobox on a specific drive freezes TC
Here are the instructions to fix the problem with shell extensions:
1. Get the free tool ShellExView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html
2. Start it. If using Total Commander 32-bit, you need to get the 32-bit
version, otherwise the 64-bit version of ShellExView.
3. Sort the shell extensions by type
4. Disable all context menu shell extensions one by one (you can hide/keep
those belonging to Windows, they are usually OK).
5. Continue until Total Commander stops hanging
6. Now you can re-enable the extensions which don't cause any problems

Hi Christian,
Yes, i had this tool in mind, thanks. So, i went to check what could cause the problem and i discovered it was VMWare Workstation (VMDiskMenuHandler64 Class - C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Player\x64\vmdkShellExt64.dll)!!!
To be honest, i didn't expect this problem to be caused by a well-known program, but i guess everything can happen...

Which version of VMware Player are you using? For me, VMware Workstation 10 (which includes Player 10) works just fine. But OTOH I don't have any encrypted drives, so I have no idea if this version would also cause TC to freeze...
