Search in doc and pdf file

What is the easy way to serach text in doc/pdf files with TC ?

I couldn't find any simple and fast way

That's been asked a lot over the years. The newer Office Open XML files (DOCX, XLSX) and OpenOffice/LibreOffice documents (ODT, ODS) can be searched with TC itself when enabling "Find text" and "Office xml" checkboxes. PDFs and the older MS Office documents (DOC, XLS) require a plugin, e.g. xPDFSearch for PDFs (currently don't remember any MS Office plugins).
