Quickview Default Display Font Keeps Reverting

Post by *GJB »

I use TC 9.21. I use quickview (Ctrl-Q) to view a lot of text files from an accounting program, so I like to have a monospaced font to preserve columns. The default is Arial which I change to Consolas. For a while everything works fine. But then, for reason(s) I have not yet discovered, the default font reverts to Arial and I have to set it once again to Consolas.

I cannot find anything in wincmd.ini nor in registry that would seem to make Arial the default font.

Can someone tell me where the default display font is controlled?

Thanks.

TC by default uses monospaced fonts in Lister. Arial may be seen if you change Lister options to use Variable width font at startup. However, I suspect that you have installed some Lister plugin, which uses Arial, so you should change the plugin settings.

You can use Alt+F7 to find ini files with "Arial" text, but some default settings may be hardcoded and not present in any config file.
