If I have connection info in WinSCP, how do I import it in TC?

It should be sufficient to create a new connection with F7 and enter the server name:port in the "Connect" field, and the user name below it. I also recommend to activate SCP for file transfers if the server supports it because it's much faster.

Then something is wrong on my system Win 10-1903 and it is replicate-able on my laptop with Win 10 1807.
I can see startup progress gauge and TC just dies after it.
I tried both with and without port, schema, scp.
Any suggestion welcomed and I'm open to test.

Please goto network neighbourhood via drive bar. There, "Secure FTP" will show up. Use F7 to create a new connection.

Correct. And complicated.

I already asked in the german part if its possible to add SFTP to the Ctrl-F-Dialog.
But it seems that I need more support....

2nd, would a nice gimmick
because, sftp it's a art of ftp with encryption and should be integrated in Totalcommander because it's a more modern and secure type of ftp
and would be a nice standard of support for the community and it is already a standard by side of ftp so secure file transfer protocol

and make it by side of normal ftp as standart.

but in the other hand is the sftp-plugin more independence and can be updated interdepended of the Head program ..
this is the other part ..

but it is in the Head program by side of ftp with the sftp, it's more easy to download tcmd, open it and connect a sftp-server and add it at the favourites by side of the normal ftp-connections . So, more easy is WinSCP .. but with tcmd it's more possible to administrate a whole Windowssystem.. with WinSCP it is not possible.. ( i've never need WinSCP used)

Imho christian haves another reason not to integrate it.
Beside of his Plugin (which he as Chef Master of Ghisler, father of our File Commander Administration Tool, Totalcommander, probably can integrate easyly) exist at least one more ftps Plugin: https://totalcmd.net/plugring/sftp4tc.html

Try updating the plugin to the latest version from ghisler.com, there is a bug in Windows 10 1903.

It could be a compatibility problem with your server, e.g. unsupported encryption methods.

Could you try connecting to a different server, for example hosting.telekom.de? Just don't enter user name and password and abort the connection. If this works, I would need to know the name of your server (no login data) so I can test what's wrong with the handshake. You can send me the info to support at ghisler dot com.

I want to synchronize my local folder to the Google Cloud Virtual Machine folder with SSH+SCP .
The files are copied, but the date/time of the files is not preserved.
Is there a setting to preserve date/time?
My local computer and the server are in different time zones.

It depends on the server. For example, my host ghisler.com with centos supports it, while it doesn't work on a raspberry pi.

Please use the one I supply. The ones from the libssh2 project are missing quite a lot of functions.

I just did a little testing. The tested speed transferred a huge file between two computers (Xeon 5660) that are connected by a 1 Gbit network (Win7 x64 / Ubuntu 14).
Tested the transfer in the following programs:
1) TotalCmd 9.22a x64 + SFTP 2.50
2) TotalCmd 9.22a x64 + SFTP4TC 1.4.67.4
3) WinSCP 5.15.5
4) Bitvise SSH Client 7.15
5) OpenSSH-Win32 v8.0.0.0p1-Beta (SFTP Client) https://github.com/PowerShell/openssh-portable

Using the plugin with TC 9.50 Beta 2, the caption of the properties window now shows chinease characters (i guess its chinease) instead of german characters.

I have no problems with DL/UL speed. It works as expected.
