This is not true - this feature has been present in TC since version 9.22rc1

Unix line breaks used to be <lf>.

No, only partially - it's there when you right click, but not when you press Shift+F10...

Aha, I missed the Shift+F10 difference. Can be moved to TC Fixed Bugs
