When pressing "Disconnect" button while in FTP mode in TOTALCMD, it will issue a "QUIT" command and wait until the server closes the connection. For some servers that are stuck, the server issues no reply and does not close the connection. TOTALCMD is therefore forced to wait until a certain timeout occurs before it disconnects.
Some separate FTP clients have a remedy for this: the first time a Disconnect command is issued, the client sends a "QUIT" and waits until the server resets the connection. But, if the server does not issue such reply within the time interval of user's patience, the user can always issue the Disconnect command again, upon the invoking of which the client does a hard disconnect and manually drops the connection, no longer waiting for the server.
Would be very nice to see such functionality in TC!

Good idea, although TC doesn't wait forever after a QUIT and closes the connection, just wait a few seconds.
