Sort folders mixed with files planned?

Post by *bogordo »

Hi,

Is there any plan to implement this type of sorting?

In order to have this scene: https://i.ibb.co/VD10YPz/CAPT-0000.png

Don't understand why others do that, like Double Commander, and TC does not...??

Because it's dangerous to mix up files and folders and delete a folder by mistake?

I have several file managers and in none of them I would ever configure to sort dirs and file together.
Windows 11 Home x64 Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3593)
TC 11.03 x64 / x86
Everything 1.5.0.1376a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.3.3, Listary Pro 6.3.0.78
QAP 11.6.3.3 x64

With the exception of unsorted view, I suppose.

There is the option checkbox "confirm delete of non empty directory" to prevent this :)

For me the most important reason it's i have a lot of mixed content that sometimes are one file and sometimes one directory, but each line is one item (either a dir either a file).

When sort by date order descendant, i cannot know easily the order between files and dir. And it's frequent!
