Re: TC 9.50 - Dark Mode
I really like the simple/minimal approach of TC, the unique point that bothers me is things like Rename dialog, if you see in "Search & Replace" i can't even see the "Regex", "Subst" words...anything i could do?

It's some problem with scaling. More data needed about display settings (font, font size, DPI etc.)

1. Set a smaller font for dialog boxes, e.g. 8 or 9.
2. Increase the scaling of the dialogs.
Both are on the same page:
Configuration - Options - Font.

Re: TC 9.50 - Dark Mode
Unfortunately I can't - it's drawn by Windows itself, not TC.

Re: TC 9.50 - Dark Mode
Hi,
Thanks for this new dark mode. I think it would be great to be able to remove as much borders as we can. Borders prevent the dark theme to look modern.
My current TC :

And what I would like to have :

Re: TC 9.50 - Dark Mode
Unfortunately there is no solution, sorry. The menu issues come from missing functions, and the checkboxes are not themed but drawn as black rectangles on black background...

Re: TC 9.50 - Dark Mode
Dark mode looks more like a "high contrast theme" from Windows 95 than a proper dark mode (for proper dark modes just look at Visual Studio).
All these borders, group-boxes and white lines are super ugly.
Switch to UWP already, it's 2020 for christ sake.

You can remove some of the borders via wincmd.ini
[Layout]
DarkListBorders=0

I find UWP a complete waste of screen space. It's OK for a touch interface, but not for a desktop application.Switch to UWP already, it's 2020 for christ sake.

Re: TC 9.50 - Dark Mode
Thanks, but unfortunately this only affects the file listview control. Toolbar/menu separators + groupboxes in dialog windows are the most annoying ones.ghisler(Author) wrote: 2020-03-24, 17:45 UTC You can remove some of the borders via wincmd.ini

Which language/UI framework is TC written in? MFC? QT? Delphi/Builder? .NET-WinForms? For every platform there's a dark UI workaround that does not look outdated

jazbit,
Delphi 2 for the 32-bit version and Lazarus for the 64-bit version.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Re: TC 9.50 - Dark Mode
I don't think it looks outdated. Even the Windows Explorer has lines around the current path box and quick search box, and between tree and file window. But it's all drawn by my own code, so if you have a better idea how to keep the program useable with less lines, please let me know.

Hi,
is there a way to change the color of the scrollbar? (see image)
