When I want transfer between PC and Android Phone files are browsed/copied without extensions. Win 10 1909, TC 9.50. Browsing/coping thru Explorer works fine.

I think you have disabled displaying extensions for registered file types in Windows Explorer (which is by default in most Windows). AFAIK this stupid option affects virtual folders in TC too, and since MTP devices may only be accessible via virtual folders, you don't see extensions. So you should enable extensions for registered file types in Windows Explorer or use ADB plugins for TC.

Actually Total Commander should show a warning when extensions are disabled and you try to open a virtual folder.

You're 100% correct about this. Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
