Re: Mve descript.ion file path
How should that work ?
Descript.ion files are stored in the directory which contain the files described in it.

Re: Mve descript.ion file path
That makes sense...
Only guessing: .ION files with path to files, thus, all the .ION files in "c:/tc_description" calling to each path to the server....

Re: Move descript.ion file path
Note: The descript.ion format is not invented by TC, but made by jpsoft for their programs 4NT and Take Command.
Meanwhile this format is used by other programs too, e.g. TC.
You have to stick with this format to remain compatible.

Re: Move descript.ion file path
AFAIK in case of LAN it should be possible to store descript.ion file anywhere on local PC, and to put its symlink in a LAN location. If original file is on NTFS, it should be possible to limit its access rights to local PC user which starts Total Commander. I didn't try it though, so I'm not sure about exact steps of doing it.

Sorry, but this will not work for several reasons.DrShark wrote: ↑2020-03-08, 13:30 UTCAFAIK in case of LAN it should be possible to store descript.ion file anywhere on local PC, and to put its symlink in a LAN location. The simplest one is that you may have the same filename in several dirs
and there is no path stored inside of a descript.ion of course.
