compare dirs or two groups of files

Post by *chudq »

I am not sure if there is convenient way to compare two dirs like windiff? The only one I found available in TC is Compare files by content. However that only works by comparing one file again another file. What I like is to compare two groups of files.

:) Hello !
- Use the command :

Code: Select all

cm_CompareDirs
for a button in the bar, or an entry in the "Start" (user's) menu.
- All internal commands are described in the Tutorial, topic <Totalcmd.inc>… ;)

 kind regards,
Claude

It's also in the standard menu: Commands - Synchronize Dirs... .

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

:) Hello Roman !
It's also in the standard menu: Commands - Synchronize Dirs...
¤ This is not the same command. That you say is:

Code: Select all

cm_FileSync (or 2020)
¤ chudq asked for compare dirs, but I don't know what is his main need… ?

 Kind regards,
Claude

Oh, sorry, I misread your post.
But I think chudq is rather looking for something like Synchronize Dirs. Anyways, now he has two options. :)
