TC Plugins Manager 1.0.1

Post by *Alextp »

Hello All,

I just wrote utility fot TotalCmd 6.0, TC PlugMan.
Cut from readme:

Code: Select all

TC PlugMan is external plugins manager for Total Commander.
Using this utility you can:
 - View list of all installed LS/FS/Packer plugins
 - Add/remove plugins (easier than in TC!)
 - Temporary disable/enable plugins (TC cannot do it!)

It also shows you if TC is currently running. If yes, then
after you made some changes, you must restart TC to changes
will take effect.

Till 6.5…

Post by *Clo »

:) Hello !
¤ I just gave it a short try, it seems interesting. However :
- Not translatable at all. Now, the most important plugins and tools are multilingual.
- The window is a bit too narrow. I'd to enlarge it using a small cute program ;)
* Whether you'ld add a language feature in a next version, the window might be a little wider /higher, because longer strings could be written on the items (buttons, tabs, writing areas).
- Indeed, I would be glad to make the French translation :D
¤ Ch. Ghisler has announced a new management of the plugins (install-uninstall…) in the next major version 6.5 of TC.
Hence, your program might offer more than these new features still…

:mrgreen:  Kind regards,
Claude

No, you could not do it, because it's a new tool I start writing at 12.08 and finished 15.08. :) Maybe you used another program "Install TC plugins" or somthing? that program yes, not always works correct...

I tested PlugMan in TC 6.0 and 5.5, it works.
But if you find some bug, tell me, I'll fix it.

Ok, in the next version 1.2 I'll add translation feature (language files).

Ok too :) When I'll add it I'll mail you for new French files...

Can this new management be able to disable/enable plugins?
And can it install plugins in another way, that it can do it now (using "FS-plugins"/"Add" buttons)?

:) Hello Alexey !
Ok, in the next version 1.2 I'll add translation feature (language files).
• Thank you ! It's always more pleasant to get a multilingual program ! It can be spread / used more then.
Can this new management be able to disable/enable plugins?
:| We don't know yet… We have to wait for the first beta to get a right overview of these new features.
And can it install plugins in another way, that it can do it now (using "FS-plugins"/"Add" buttons)?
• I think the answer is "YES". The actual installation is so tedious; it was the main reproach the users expressed!
{ Apart : other infos via e-mail at night, a bit later ;) }

:mrgreen: Kind regards,
Claude

@alextp:
You can find totalcmd.exe location under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ghisler\Total Commander, too.
->InstallDir

Useful tool, thanks. :)

Thanks, I'll use it.
But if this key is empty (when it's not empty?), PlugMan will ask user for TC path.
