I have problem of delete files that hve long file name (above 256 ?)
I can copy, move them without any problem.
OS: Windows XP sp3
TC version: 9.51 32 bit
I can get away by: shorten the path by moving to root directory, then delete them.

Deleting files with such long paths will work only when bypassing recycle bin (Shift+Del). That's just how Windows works; it doesn't support paths longer than 259 characters (and single filenames longer 255 characters).

TC can copy and delete long path files without any problem.
Just the Windows recycle bin has problems with it.
