Hello everyone,
I am struggling to find a solution (if there is any at all) for the following case, please.
Say I have a folder which includes 3000 subfolders (and still growing).
I need to find names of subfolders matching my desired conditions using various *syntaxes in the Expand selection command ("+").
It worked ok so far with reasonable low amount of subfolders (the results are marked in red). But in this amount of subfolders it is bit of pain to scroll through the whole list of so many subfolders and find those marked.
Is there any workaround or plugin which shrinks "+" results to only those matching wildcard (display only marked valid results) ?
eg. sort of Search-Find files function and List to the feedbox ?
There is sort of way using Search-Find files function and list to the feedbox but it is way to long to click through + waiting for search to complete then Feed to list box. And entering into one of the matching folders and returning back will result in lost of results (I think).
Thanks for help in advance,
Frantisek

You can shrink your list and view the selected files only by using
cm_ShowOnlySelected

Re: Expand selection "+" folders to show only / shrink results to matching folders
Aside from being available as command cm_ShowOnlySelected, the "Only Selected Files" mode is also available as an option in the "Show" menu

"Another way is to use the quick filter (Ctrl+S) instead of the "permanent" filter via Ctrl+F12. Press Ctrl+S, type *MICHAEL* (or whatever filter term you need), then press ESC once to hide the filter input box and return focus to normal panel. As soon as you enter any directory, the quick filter will reset, i.e. you will see everything in the subdirs. To activate the same quick filter again, press Ctrl+Shift+S."
