Ctrl+Right keeps decreasing free size of C disk

With every strike that I press ctrl + right (arrow key), the free size of my C disk decreases by a random amount, something like 20k ~ 10M. Here is the repro:
1. In the left pane, navigate to Desktop (C:\Users\xxx\Desktop);
2. With the focus still on left pane, press ctrl + right, for several times;
3. Now you notice that the free size decreases (displayed above the tabs of the left/right pane)!! By a random amount with every strike of ctrl + right.

This happens only for C disk, which is also my Win10 OS disk. If you try the repro on some directory on other disks (D:, E:, ...), the repro doesn't happen.

If this is a bug, please fix it. Moreover, how can I reclaim the loss of my free space on C disk which is already running short of storage?

Whatever strange software or setting you have on your system its not a TC fault.
Also your reports misses any information about your environment.

Well, the first thing to check would be if this also occurs when just refreshing the list with Ctrl+R. If it does, it has nothing to do with the Ctrl+Cursor-right combination, or TC for that matter. Then something is writing files to disk, and it would be a good idea to find out where the files are written and by which program - Process Monitor can help with that.
