CTRL+B does not stick
Press CTRL + B on a folder with subfolders. Select one of the files and press CTRL + Up (opens a new tab with this file selected). Then return to the first tab. It's not in Branch View any more. Is there a way to make it "stick" in branch mode, regardless of what is happening on the file system or the rest of TC?

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3 (very rarely nowadays).
x64: Clients/Servers - Win10/Win11 and Win2K16 to Win2K22, mainly Win10 though.

Re: CTRL+B does not stick
(a bit out of topic)
To me there is no per tab formatting saved by TC. Branch view, only selected view, quick search .... are just valid for the time you stay on current tab. If you switch tab on same side, all is gone
Worse for me is that filters are global by side witch make me crazy in some situation.
So a Ghisler accepted suggestion for per tab status/formatting saved/restored would be perfect in your situation.
