Syncrhonize collections

Post by *menes »

Is it possible to do a sync between file collections generated by feeding search results to a file (and loading the file) or like directory sync?

The idea is to be able to compare two collections that contain many same files but on a different directory structure and use directory sync that could have the option to recreate the directory structure from left to right (or vice versa) when copying, copy to the same location on the other pane, delete from left or right etc.

I know that there is a "find duplicates" but the way the list is generated (rows instead of columns) doesn't make it easy for massive operations, as you have to click each duplicate separately.

You can try this
Make a search for duplicates
Feeed the result to listbox
Press nUm+ on the numeric keyboard

you will now get a new (well hidden) feature of TC: "Select duplicate files" where you can do several things with the found files/folders - may that could be useful.

Hello,

While it isn't exactly what I wanted it surely is very helpful to find and select duplicates under a path!

Thank you!
