Re: Synchronize directories window cannot be restored after hiding

Btw. the comparison seems to run a bit faster than before.
Yes, the filling of the listbox should be much faster now, unless you use a screen reader (which prevents the fast fill method).
But the last shown number seems not to be the real number of compared folders as with every run I see a different "last" number.
They are only shown every x milliseconds, so you will not always get the same values. Updating all values would slow down the comparison a lot.

I was talking about the time between hitting the compare button and the end of running through the folders and showing the result.
Thats seems to be faster as well.

I thought so.

Since b5 until now (rc4) the hiding-probblem did not occur again.
So for me the problem seems to be solved.

It seems that it is fixed partially - it does not occurs anymore with clean ini, but i get it sometimes with my usual configuration, so this is probably content plugin issue.
Currently have no time for further investigation.

Could you send me your current wincmd.ini to support at ghisler dot com? Please remove sections not needed which could contain sensitive data, like the directory history or hotlist.

After making some changes in the configuration, the error no longer occurs. I tried to restore the old configuration but I can't achieve previous results. So the bug has been fixed or occurs in extremely unique conditions.
Earlier it occurs with selected "by content" option and use of content plugins with the option of comparing the date of creation from the internal plugin.

OK, I will move it to fixed bugs for now. If you manage to reproduce it with specific settings later, then please report what settings were causing it.

Hi there.
I experienced exactly the same problem.
I am comparing to drives with multiple folders.
The base window where you set up directory synchronise is locked into place on my 1 screen.
The other window that works through each file and folder and evaluates to the = is able to me minimised.
BUT minimise the base window and the work is lost.
I.e. both windows disappear and I cannot get them back.

Kind regards.
