Green overlay icon is not be turned off for OneDrive Files / Folders

Post by *huouer »

Version: 10.51RC1
OS: Windows 10 64 bits, 21H2, 19044.1889
Symptom: After a OneDrive Folder / File is moved from OneDrive to local drive, such as C drive, the green overlay icon will not be turned off.

That happens when the file still has the "keep offline" flag set after copying. Apparently the Windows function CopyFileEx preserves this flag.

But the files don't have the "keep offline" flag in file explorer.

How do you see that?

When I open "File Explorer", I cannot see the green overlay icon of folder A. But in totalcmd, I can see the green overlay icon of the same folder A. (Folder A was moved out of my OneDrive)

In the next beta, I will restrict the check for the "pinned" attribute to the OneDrive folder and its subfolders.
You can go there with the following command in Total Commander:
cd %$OneDrive%

Hello, I found many questions on the forum regarding displaying the OneDrive synchronization status in TC files, but I'm dealing with the exact opposite issue, and so far, I haven't found anything related to it. I would like to have the status icons not displayed for individual files in TC; it distracts me a lot during work. The only setting I found, "Configuration - Options - Icons - Show overlay icons," doesn't seem to do anything.
Can you help me please?

Try that in your wincmd.ini:

Code: Select all

[Configuration]
IconOverlaysOneDrive=0
IconOverlaysOneDrive=3

Enable/disable icon overlays for OneDrive files.

Sum of:
1: Files which aren't available offline (cloud icon)
2: Marked for always being available offline (green circle with checkmark)
4: In addition to 2: Also in paths of OneDrive for Business

It was just a suggestion, though a reasonable one.
I didn't test it myself.
So, does it work as intended?

Yes, exactly. After "IconOverlaysOneDrive=0" I can't see any onedrive icons, so it works just I wanted.
