Auto Switch Mode for Branch view ?

Post by *Horst.Epp »

I want to set a general rule for Auto switching in branch view
like I can do it for search results.
I didn't find any way to make such a rule.
Any idea or trick to make this ?

I have requested that some 5 years ago: https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=48643

But since it is not feasible I do this as a workaround:

I have put this command in my usercmd.ini file:

Code: Select all

[em_branchview]
cmd=cm_DirBranch,cm_SrcViewModeList Branch View
Then I assigned Ctrl+B to em_branchview (instead of to cm_DirBranch)

And then I made a View Mode named "Branch View" with this command in the Auto-run commands:

Code: Select all

*|cm_SrcViewMode0
The backside of this is that when you want to leave Branch View you should press Ctrl+B again to cancel the "Branch View" View Mode. If you navigate out of the Branch View by going updir (BackSpace) or back in History (Alt+LeftArow) or via the Directory Hotlist (Ctrl+D), then the View mode will still be active.

That works perfect.
Its fine for me using Ctrl-B as toggle.
