Direct delete not properly working

I do not know if it is new but shift-delete does not (always) delete directly without using the basket. I was used this very often but I have noticed a change in behaviour

Did you install an Antivirus suite like Norton? Some of these come with their own recycle bin which even works on Shift+Delete (they redirect all delete calls to themselves).
