64-bit or 32-bit: advantages and disadvantages ?

If you have a system that can run 64-bit Total Commander, what are the advantages and disadvantages of using the 64-bit version vs. the 32-bit AND 64-bit version?

If you have to ask, best just use the 64-bit version on a 64-bit OS.

Only if you want to utilize some older plugin, which is available in 32-bit only, or have a 32-bit OS
or want to use TC on Bart-PE live CD-ROM, use the 32-bit version.

But there is also no harm to have both versions in one folder.

Just for interest what type of plugins are this?
At least for packer plugins there is a working wrapper for running 32bit wcx plugins in x64 TC.
I use it for the MSI-Plus wcx plugin for example.

Yes I know. Without wcx, it will be 42%.

I just tried and found that TC 32 is noticeably faster entering a folder with 25.000 files.
