Ok, here is the thing, at work i share a computer with a coworker and we work on different shits. He has a total commander 5.5 and i run a 6.03a.. the OS is win98se, and we don't have user profiles set up. My question is the following : currently both total commanders use the path c:\windows\ to look for their ini files, which ofcourse is not good because me and my colleague benefit from different settings, and the worst of all is the ftp list. How can we make the two different versions of tcmd use their on directiories to look for the ini files..?
i mean the following:
tcmd v5.5
d:\user1\tcmd\
tcmd v6.03a
d:\user2\tcmd\
and each of the different versions should seek ini files from it's own home directory.
Thanks!
Need help with *.ini file paths

Use INIRELOC
2t0d
Hello, welcome on board !
- Dowload the free tool INIRELOC
- Launch it to move one bunch of INI files in both (anyone)
- Choose the program directory for the moved files.
- Then, each one'll have his own settings saved.
- Updates are free, 5.5 is getting out of date
Kind regards,
