GPR file support in Exif content plugin

Post by *zbooy »

Hi,

would it be possible to add .gpr (GoPro raw image files) support to the Exif wdx plugin? They seem to be standard DNG files with a non-standard file extension. The plugin works after I rename them to .dng, so this should be just a matter of adding EXT="GPR" to the configuration.

Thanks a lot,
z

Have you tried adding the .GPR extension to the Detect string of the plugin ?

Yes, I have now. It didn't help.

Indeed the plugin also checks the extensions internally. I can add .GPR easily.
1. Does it work when you rename the file so it has one of the supported extensions?
2. Are there any other extensions I should add?

That would be great.

Yes, it looks like this.

None that I can think of now :)

Just bumping this thread asking if it's possible to add this one in near future :)

Thanks again,

I have now added GPR support (and also HEIC) to my EXIF plugin. The first beta version can be found here:
https://www.totalcommander.ch/beta/wdx_exif28b1.zip

Important:
To use, you need to remove the plugin via Configuration - Options - Plugins - Content Plugins, then install it again by double clicking on the downloaded wdx_exif28b1.zip.

This is necessary to load the new detect string from the plugin which contains the additional extension.

Uninstalled the old one and restarted TC.
Installing the new one produced 2 TC dumps.
But its installed and works including GPS data.

I tried version 2.8b1 - it works fine for .HEIC files. I don't have any .GPR to test with.

No dumps here. Did you install it from 32-bit or 64-bit Total Commander?
