List of commands that supports parameters

Post by *petermad »

Oops - I never noticed that Help page - so there WAS a list of those commands after all.

I will make a bug report about the missing entries in the Help.

Impressive list - thank you. :D

Shouldn't the parameters for cm_SwitchColorsByFileType be <on_off_toggle> ?

Hello all,

Thank you for the great work!

Perhaps in addition to the 3 prefixes/identifiers above (not sure how you call them)... we could have also the "target" tab
Is this already implemented?
Is the list of commands in the 1st post explicit?

There are these cm_Trg* commands:

Code: Select all

cm_TrgActivateTab1 -> cm_TrgActivateTab99
cm_TrgSortByCol1 -> cm_TrgSortByCol99
cm_TrgCustomView1 -> cm_TrgCustomView29
cm_TrgViewMode0 -> cm_TrgViewMode249

cm_TrgNextCustomView
cm_TrgPrevCustomView
But none of them supports parameters which this topic is about.

Actually I see, it must be explicit... (that is the full list), since there is already a history of the additions.
Many thanks!

Great WORK @white!

Can I kindly suggest that you put the version of the TC somewhere in the header of the page?
Perhaps you could then duplicate the page and update with newer versions.

I am not sure for the size of the effort for maintenance, but in all cases one needs to know for which version it is relevant

THANKS for the beautiful page...

The caption above the table says:
wiki page List of internal commands wrote:List of internal commands
(updated to Total Commander 10.52)
(I saw I had forgotten to update the version number from 10.50 to 10.52, which I did now)
Maybe the font should be bigger?

I think maintaining multiple pages for different versions is not a good idea. But go ahead if you want to ;)
I had thought about adding a column indicating in which TC version each command was introduced. That may still be confusing though, because often the functionality of commands changed over time (improvements, added parameters). The table is meant to give a quick overview of the commands, not a detailed explanation of each command. If you are interested in a certain command, you should then search TC's Help and TC's command browser for more information about the command. If the command is not listed in the Help or command browser, it's not supported by your TC version. Ideally each command on the wiki page should link to a separate page with detailed information about the command. So if you have nothing to do.. ;)
