Parameter for passing the selected(!) part of filename under the cursor

Post by *Box333 »

Hi again,

In addition to paramters like %~O or %~N (part-strings) it would be nice to have a parameter for passing a selected/marked part of a file/dirname under the cursor.

Thank you in advance

In the name edit mode, in addition to the name, there may be paths after the search results are displayed or in the branch mode (Ctrl+Shift+B), i.e. there is a problem with forbidden characters (colon and backslash).

Thats not what you wanna do. In this scenario you most likely markup the part of filename by mouse/keybord and if yo pass the marked up string in qoutes(!) "" then special chatacters will not interfear.

I don't want to do anything. I'm writing only about a conflict situation in the case of selecting such symbols. Quotation marks won't help matters here.
