[Wifi transfer] unable to rename files on cell phone

Post by *atbest »

When transferring files between my cell phone and computers, I usually share a folder in the emulated SD card with "Send via WiFi", and then use the WebDav plugin of Windows TC to connect to the folder. Everything works fine (upload, download, overwrite) except that I cannot rename the files on the cell phone from Windows TC WebDav plugin. Whenever I tried to rename a file, It always pops up a alert window saying that "Error: cannot write xxx! Please remove the write protection!".
I am not sure if this is a bug in the Wifi transfer plugin or the WebDav plugin, but it has been existing for quite a while including all the latest versions.

Windows: TC 10.52 x64 + WebDAV plugin v3.2 final (32bit+64bit) with the following configurations:
utf8urls=1
apacheDirWithSlash=1

Android: TCA 3.41d + Wifi transfer 3.5
Accept permanent connects

You cannot change files or folders in the base directory of the WiFi transfer plugin, e.g. when you share files directly. You can only modify files and folders in shared subfolders.
