Pass content fields as command line options to button bar

Post by *funkymonk »

Hi!

According to the help it seems impossible (atm) to pass content fields as command line options to button bar buttons.
Actually, that can be very helpful, e.g., for passing the duration of media files or certain checksums from files to other tools.

Any plans in supporting that?
Any opinions from the community?

I have seen such a request somewhere. Probably on another forum. Undoubtedly it will be useful.

To do this, you can link the output of this tool to the script.

Thank you.
I have used this tool sometimes in the past. Yet, a more "direct" (i.e., non-scripted) option would be helpful in many sitations...

@ghisler Is there any plans on that? It would be very helpful to me and maybe also to others...
Thank you.
