Sync dirs issue
In Sync dirs window, i compared 2 folders which had some differences. One of the differences was a file that existed only at the right side. I went over it and pressed F3. A small window opened and immediately closed, without any message. At first i was puzzled but after a while, i remembered i had to press SHIFT+F3 in order to view the file because it was on the right side. It would be better if a message appeared saying something like if you want to view the file, press SHIFT+F3 (for right side). Perhaps the same thing should appear if the user presses SHIFT+F3 on a file that's only on the left side.

Re: Sync dirs issue
Hmm, If I press F3 on a file that only exist on the right side, or I press Shift+F3 on a file that only exist on the left side, nothing happens - no small window opening and closing here.

Re: Sync dirs issue
It's very quick, almost instantaneous, so barely visible. I'm guessing it's probably an informational window saying something like "displaying file..."petermad wrote: 2023-03-23, 13:13 UTC Hmm, If I press F3 on a file that only exist on the right side, or I press Shift+F3 on a file that only exist on the left side, nothing happens - no small window opening and closing here.

There comes definitely no message or anything else on pressing the wrong key.wanderer wrote: 2023-03-23, 13:53 UTCIt's very quick, almost instantaneous, so barely visible. Can you reproduce it with a clean ini file?
I just tried it on my VERY slow Windows 10 PC, to make it more likely to see it, but I still don't see any window opening/closing.It's very quick, almost instantaneous, so barely visible.
Can you reproduce it with a clean ini file?

I blame TC for making things so easy and transparent, that sometimes the user forgets he is working within a ZIP file!

Sorry to both of you for the delayed realization, i guess the mind is absent today. I think i need vacation...

I can confirm a short blink of a dialog being opened and closed when the file is in a zip-file.

Re: Sync dirs issue
That's indeed the unpack progress dialog, where the sync tool is trying to find the file in the zip (but fails).
