Can cursor be moved automatically to next file after selection?

Post by *dushkin »

Hello all

Is there a way to make the cursor frame be moved automatically to the next file after I select a file with space, so I won't need to use arrow button to go to the next file?

Thanks

Add line

Code: Select all

SpaceMovesDown=1
under [Configuration] section of your main INI file - check location under "Help" - "About Total Commander"

Hi and welcome.

You can set this INI-parameter:

 SpaceMovesDown=0 (default deactivated)
 SpaceMovesDown=1 (When selecting files with <SPACEBAR>, move down to next file (as with <INSERT>))

14.12.00 Release Wind0ws Commander 4.52 beta 3
13.12.00 Added: wincmd.ini, [Configuration], spacemovesdown=1 when selecting with <SPACEBAR>, move cursor to next file (as when selecting with Insert)

See menu Help >> Index >> "TOTALCMD.CHM >> Configuration and Switches >> Ini file Settings"

Find your INI from menu Help >> "About Total Commander... >> INI-Files"
or from the menu "Configuration > Change Settings Files Directly" >> opens wincmd.ini and wcx_ftp.ini in Notepad
or utilize "%Commander_INI%" (with quotes) as command in the TC-Commandline.

If you doesn't find the entry in the [Configuration]-section (as default entries are not in the INI)
just create that line yourself below of [Configuration].
Sometimes you have to restart TC to take effect.

dushkin,
It was never default.
You can also use Insert instead of space, if that suits you more. Does not calculate the occupied space, though.
