I tried creating a shortcut of a file. I rightclick on it, dragged it to the other panel and released the right button. At the menu that appeared, i clicked on "Create Shortcut". This action (which BTW works fine in the stable version) now moves the actual file to the other panel and changes its extension to .lnk!
Fortunately, if you again move the file to the original panel and change its extension to what it originally was, restores the file (so, no damage is done in the actual file), still this is somewhat dangerous. At first i didn't notice that something was wrong so i went on and deleted the .lnk file. Thankfully i had a backup.

Not confirmed here.
It creates the shortcut and leaves the source file intact.

Re: [11.00b2]BUG: Creating file shortcut moves and renames the actual source file
I tried it again and it still does that. I tried creating the shortcut to a subfolder of where the file was, still happening. I tried to create it to another folder (above of where the file was), still happening.
I then tried with a vanilla TC. Not happening!
I'll send my INI to Christian (upon his request, if he needs it) to find out which setting causes this...
EDIT: This is happening under Windows 10 with both x32 and x64 versions of TC.

Ah, great. I can confirm that b4 fixed this. Thanks.
