PORT Connection Cancel Copy keeps going

Post by *zockinger »

I noticed that when cancelling a copy operation using the USB PORT Connection now has the option to finish the current file when cancelling, however pressing the "Finish curent File" button seem to do nothing, the copy process just continues

the copy process just continues
Which is what you asked for: "Finish copying the current file" - if you want to abort the copying you have to choose "OK (Stop)".

"Finish copying the current file" copies the rest of the current file and then stops copying the rest of the selected files.

I just tested it with the "Belkin Easy Transfer Cable for Vista" that you see here: https://www.ghisler.com/cables/ (literally).

I did some tests, and now I sse whats going on. If I copy a directory then the "Finish current file" only finishes after the entire directory has been copied. Thats behaviour is different from a normal filesystem Copy operation.
(p.s. am also Using Belkin Easy Transfer Cable)

I had only tested it with one file.

Now I can confirm that "Finish copying the current file" for USB cable transfers does not work correctly - TC just continues the total copy process (does not even stop after the current folder is processed).

Also if I click the button "OK (Stop)" I get these messages:

If I copy from the server to the client I get the message: "Error downloading file!"
If I copy from the client to the serrver I get the mesage: "Transfer failed. Continue operation"

Confirmed, thanks. The abort condition was only checked after each selected item (file or directory), not in subfolders.

history.txt wrote:22.05.23 Fixed: PORT connection to other PC (e.g. via USB cable), uploads and downloads: "Finish copying the current file" only worked for files in the current directory, a folder was always copied to the end too (32/64)
Confirmed fixed in TC 11.00b4 :-)
