It is worth pointing to the syntax with the name without the path: .\name.bar, otherwise the user himself will not guess.24. OPENBARMENU saved_bar loads an existing button bar as a dropdown menu.

The same wording is used for OPENBAR. I'm implying a full path name. Sorry, I will move that to "will not be changed".

I disagree. This specificity with ".\" you came up with yourself:
Leave this feature undocumented for OPENBAR and OPENBARMENU? What for?

It was possible not to add this prefix at all, so that there was access to %N instead of .\%N in the current panel, then you wouldn't have to add a refinement.ghisler(Author) wrote: ↑2023-05-03, 19:07 UTC Sorry, the syntax for using the file from the current directory is different:
OPENBARMENU .\barfile.bar
Note the dot in front of the backslash!

That prefix is just for taking the bar file from the current directory! OPENBARMENU isn't limited to that, it can take a full path or environment variables.

Re: [TC 11.00b3] There is no description of OPENBARMENU in the help
I understand. igarny's request was to open the bars as menus, which are located in the active panel directory.
But you could do it without ".\", as it usually works with any programs that support the name as an argument.
And since this prefix is the only way, it looks like an undocumented necessity that users themselves will not guess.
Therefore, it's logical either to remove such a condition, or to add to the description of commands about such a possibility.

OK I will add a note on how to use .bar files from the current directory:
OPENBARMENU saved_bar loads an existing button bar as a dropdown menu. To open a .bar file from the current directory, the name must be provided in the following way: .\filename.bar
