TC hangs up on content plugins

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

TC hangs up on content plugins

Post by *neugier »

If I use a content plugin on my computer, e.g. wdx_nlinfo, it works. But if I then select a NAS drive from my favorites, the TC hangs.
If I switch to the normal view before, it works though!
Probably this is because the API functions used are not applicable to the NAS drive.
It would be better if the TC would switch back to the default view when changing the path.

Did you sort by one of the fields of the content plugin? Then TC has to load the values of that field for ALL files in the directory, which can take a LONG time when there are a lot of files, or the access to each file is slow (e.g. on a NAS).
