[11.00b7] ZIP packing: memory leak

Post by *bow »

I can sadly assure you that even 11.0b6 suffers from this bug. ~100000 files, overall size ~25Gb, ZIP compression = 0(!).

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Same for b7 and all the links should work, though there's an odd tag IMG around the url.

Warning - Don't click on those links heer above. They open a bunch of sex pages and false Antivirus offers - and ended up craching my browser.

Oh, really? :) What service do you suppose to use for storing the pictures? Fastpic is not safe enough? Well, here's another Image: https://imgur.com/a/ZgA1Ga0

Don't click on those links here above
browser extension IMAGUS - and you even should not open these links at all - just hover the mouse over the link - and see the opened picture only ;)

I confirm that with compression=0 RAM consumption keeps growing. Not with other compression modes I've tried.

P. S. And yes, fastpic has grown really ugly over the last few years. Even with an adblocker it's horrible and tries to shove you all kinds of crap.

I can just add to it that Beta 6 constantly said "internal error" (or so) on such conditions (making big zip with lot of files and zero compression).
Beta 7 has a memory leak but at least not crashing!

I had TC 11.00b7 32-bit say "Internal error while packing" sereval times when I tried packing, and after a several attempts it crashed due to lack of memory. But I could not reproduce it after restarting.

Confirmed, thanks. It's caused by changes made for using the libdeflate library.
