[implemented] Rename option "Show most frequently used directory in the middle"

Post by *petermad »

In TC 11.00b3 there is a new option in the "History" configuration:
"Show most frequently used directory in the middle"

I took me a while to figure out what that meant, therefore I suggest to change the wording to something like:
"Show most frequently used directory closest to the middle of the list"
or:
"Show most frequently used directory closest to the list divider"

Can you show pictures of results of applying of this option? bef/aft?
Of course, I do not use this list, and it's good that now we can easily close its maintenance at whole,
but the essence of the option, even in the corrected wording, is not completely clear to me.
Especially given the fact that there is still an option to reverse display this list!
And yes! "Reverse order (last visited at the top)" - this option does exist ONLY in context menu
of a new dirs' hotlist/menu. It's rather trivial and logical to put all related options at one place!
And! plus this: https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=431737#p431737

This screenshot is with "Show most frequently used directory in the middle" enabled:

This screenshot is with "Show most frequently used directory in the middle" disabled:

The cursor is on the same folder in both screenshots

Thank you!

Aha! Those in fact, this is actually a SEPARATE reverse sorting / displaying a list of frequently used folders)))
So why wasn't it just named that way?

In stead of just renaming the option I think we need 3 options in stead of 2:

History
Show list in reverse order (last visited directory at the top) [ ]
Frequently used folders
Show list in reverse order (most used directory at the top) [x]

Show frequently used folders below history list [ ]

shown here with suggested default setting.

Changing "Show list in reverse order (last visited directory at the top") shall then no more affect whether the Frequently used folders are shown above or below the History list.

I have made a mockup of how I could imagine the History Settings dialog to look:
