No dBpoweramp tooltips
I just did a fresh install of Win 11, but using my original TC installation (not in Program Files). I have the latest version of dBpoweramp and have it set to display tooltips. All versions of 11.x so far (including RC1) do not use the dB tooltips, although they work fine in File Explorer.
Have I missed a setting somewhere, or is this a bug?

Re: No dBpoweramp tooltips
I don't use dBpoweramp myself, so it would be helpful to get more information:
1. Can you try with TC 10.52? Just install it as an update. You can quickly return to 11.x via update later.
2. Maybe you use TC 32-bit on 64-bit Windows? Shell extensions are either 32-bit or 64-bit, so to work in 32-bit, the 32-bit extension needs to be installed too.

Re: No dBpoweramp tooltips
I installed the 64bit/32bit TC 10.52, and the results were the same. No tooltips in TC, but working fine in Explorer. They used to work in TC, but as I mentioned this a new install of Win 11. Some registry setting may be missing. I'll contact the dBpoweramp author to see if he has any ideas.
Both TC 11 RC and dBpoweramp are 64 bit, so I don't think that's an issue.

Re: No dBpoweramp tooltips
It's possible that they disabled their shell extension in programs other than the Explorer.

Re: No dBpoweramp tooltips
The dBpoweramp author responded that if the tooltips work in File Explorer, they should work with any program that uses the same methods as Explorer.
I'm assuming that's the case with TC. Are you doing anything different with mouse roll-overs? If not, I'll try a complete uninstall/re-install.

Re: No dBpoweramp tooltips
Maybe you just don't have enabled "Win32-style tips" and "Comments from Explorer" in Configuration - Options - Display?

Re: No dBpoweramp tooltips
That did it, Christian! They work fine now. Thanks, I never would have figured that out on my own.
