This packer plugin allows you to extract the file behind a link.

Nice tool. But it doesn't work with the desktop-folder you access with cm_openDesktop - at least with my XP-Pro Installation.

But maybe this implementation is faulty because I cannot copy links into this folder, too.

As far as I know you cannot execute the cm_UnpackFiles command from within a virtual folder. Try extracting a simple zip from \\Desktop.

You're right. Zip looks like a folder but I cannot switch into it.

Hi Lefteous,

thanks for this useful plugin! It works fine with WinXP, but unfortunately I can't get it work with Win98SE: unpacking a link creates nothing but the entirely empty folder tree, the target file itself is missed :( . Did I miss anything?

No you didn't. CopyLinkTarget currently supports only Windows 2000/XP, sorry.
I will add support for older Windows versions in the next release.

krasusczak and I have just figured it out: Plugin will work on Win98 if compiled with max. VS2005. Plugin will work on Win2k if compiled with max. VS2008.
TC plugins: Autodesk 3ds Max / Inventor / Revit Preview, FileInDir, ImageMetaData (JPG Comment/EXIF/IPTC/XMP), MATLAB MAT-file Viewer, Mover, SetFolderDate, Solid Edge Preview, Zip2Zero and more
